Wrestling Legend Hulk Hogan Speaks On Joining Metallica

This is brilliant, would have loved the Hulkster instead of Rob Trujillo! Though he is no Brad Garrett...

Pro-wrestling legend Terry Bolea (better known as Hulk Hogan) has revealed that he was more than willing to walk away from the wrestling business to join Metallica as their new bass player. As fans of Hogan are aware, before becoming a wrestler he was an accomplished bass player who earned good money playing in bands.

He states: "I was in England presenting an award with Jerry Hall, Mick Jagger’s ex, and she told me the (Rolling) Stones were looking for a bass player,” Hogan said. “I sent her a ton of merchandise that she asked for and said ‘Tell Mick I’m a great bass player.’ I never heard a word back.

"When Metallica was looking for a bass player, I called and never heard a word back from them either. I would have quit wrestling in a heartbeat to be a bass player for Metallica."

That would've been so bizarre, yet awesome.

Still, Rob's one of the better things to've happened to Metallica IMO.

Finger point. Big boot. Leg Drop. Hulk Hogan has been making me yawn for years brother.

Hulk Hogan would shovel shit if it had the right price tag on it.

I liken him to Gene Simmons of Kiss. Hogan's ego may just have fitted in with Kiss.

If Hogan would have joined Metallica, I think I could have died happily within the first hour of finding out....PURE bliss

Hogans new book is 90% fiction and 5% lies. None of this ever happened.
