Much like the St. Anger album, I didn't like it at first, but after listening to it a few times, I thought it was awesome.
Do you have anymore? |

| | Has anyone ever had someone get mad at them for expressing certain feelings? I've had people get upset about me expressing both love and anger and try to tell me not to feel them or try to make me supress what I'm feeling just for them. People like this are the reason people need to hear the "St. Anger" album, or watch "Some Kind Of Monster". All human emotions are healthy. the people that try to make someone change what they feel or hide what they feel, these people are not right. interesting how the most hated Metallica album probably has the best message. that's Metallica spouting off the truth and it being too harsh to hear by those in denial of the value of what a person feels. |

| i really want:
aint my biwtch wasting my hate cure outlaw torn bleeding me where the wild things are
any1 know what bleeding me sounded like without the ping ride? i hate what lars is using in place of his ride now, it sounds... bad.
and no they havnt played fixxxer as far as i know Yeah, it's called a china cybal. It's got this dirty sound. I don't like it either. He uses it quite a bit on the ST. Anger album. I want to hear fixxer, which has never been played live; Bad seed, Carpe Diem, Baby, Where the wild things are, the outlaw torn, the thorn within, poor twisted me, and the Unforgiven II. The Unforgiven is so tired and overdone, and I can't understand how one says the Unforgiven II is inferior to the Unforgiven. The Unforgiven II is so much more powerful lyrically. |

| | A while back before the St. Anger album came out, I looked on Kazza just hoping to hear some new stuff. Well they had a song call Follow Me that was a demo. It sounds more like Slayer, but anyhow, it is not Metallica. I just looked on Kazza and its still on there. Who exactly is that band? Its a kick ass song. |

| I'm a drummer for about 10 years now...The hardest songs for me to play are:
some songs of the st. anger album because of their freakishly sudden time-changes The Shortest Straw, Where The Wild Things Are, The Call Of Ktulu...I think that's about it...I think |

To me Load and Reload sound like the out takes from the black album. No standards set there. The orchestra thing was interesting but like you said, Deep Purple did that way before and in my opinion better. As for St.Anger, sounding like a bad garage band is not setting standards it just lowering them.
well the songs on load and reload are in totally different style than the black album.. and they set up ome serious standarts.. as for the st anger album, it doesnt matter how it sounds..its not necessary to sound good to set up standarts, we will see in the future.. its too early to talk about it.

Maybe to you Load and Reload sonds different than the black album, but not to me. Even Metallica admit that the songs on load were the ones that didn't make the black album. I still don't see how you think that Metallica setting the standards with those albums. And as for st. anger, I guess that we'll just have to see what Metallica's new one will sound like. |

That's the funniest fucking thing I've heard all day. How about if he went "Now I'm going to recreate the album version of all the songs on Justice and we watch him play the bass with no sound!" :P |

| Ecstacy of Gold OPENER: opens up with the one and only cover of the Hamster Dance, with Kirk Hamster playing the main tune obviously Blackened Intro, and just before it explodes Damage Inc intro, and just before it explodes Loverman, at which point the audience is getting pissed off because they want something heavier, to which James says "You want heavy! You want Holier than thou? Whiplash? Battery? OK! We'll play them all!!!" To which they pull out acoustic guitars for a suprise acoustic set Finisher: Rob stands on stage solo to perform the st anger album in its entierty on just bass, and eating a cheese sandwich live

| -Oh, I forgot to mention: I really miss Jason's background vocals. While they were mostly in the same vein as James, Kirk's highpitched voice and Rob's...indescribable growls just don't cut it. I miss Jason's background stuff, even just his "Hey! Hey!'s" to pump up the crowd.
I fucking agree man!! jasons background vocals were something amazing! creeping death: die, die ,die you motherfuckers! die, die...
at the topic: I personally like the st.anger album, allthough I think it's the worst album 'tallica has done... but you must think the conditions... james had just gone through 9 months rehab and they had hugh argues with eachother... so st.anger rocks but i'd like to see something fucking hugh at the next album |

| You ask if we are honestly happy with metallica latley. Well, I am personally happy with metallica right now. I love their music so much and their music is alway with me ;D. When I clean the house and do my housework I listen to metallica real loud, when I drive in my car I listen to metallica. And it`s making me feel good!!! It helps when I´m in anger, it helps me dreaming myself away...... ;D I saw them in Dec.03 and June 04 and their concerts were just awsome, powerfull, giving me so much energy. So, that`s the reason why I am happy with metallica. Okay, I have to admit, that the st.anger album is my least fav album. But fuck, they are my fav band anyways! No, I can´t say that I´m lying to myself, honestly! |

| | I haven't heard him on this tour yet. He couldn't even play drums when he first tried to get with James so I'm not sure why anyone would expect him to be the most technical drummer on earth. Being nontechnical is what he used to get bashed for. But as has been said before, being technical doesn't make you a good drummer. Lars plays along with the song instead of over it. He did some great stuff on the St. Anger album I thought. He's gotten away from using a back beat on every song and he's come up with some different fills. He's not my favorite personallity in Metallica nor do I think he always makes the best decissions in the studio. I'm glad though because he just didn't learn how to blast beat and do it through an entire album like a lot of death metal bands. |
