| | They have jammed on raining blood once or twice. Theres a bootleg version where hetfield plays the double kick intro to raining blood on drums during one of Lars' drum solos that they used to fucked around with, on the black album tour. He was tearing it up! Apparently they have doodled with war ensemble too. Hope that helps :-/ |

OK, fair point, i wud like to point out tho that an average setlist on the black album tour had anywhere up to 25-28 songs on it...
Unless you count bass, guitar and drum solos, the average setlist was pretty much 18-20 songs.
If you can show me some longer ones, I stand corrected. |

Holy shit, was that the tour where he had like 50 toms and Neil Purts drumset would of looked liked a peice of shit beside its greatness, not to mention all the symbols, and he does that freakin huge drum roll/solo thing in MOP. |

| | ever heard of "Live Shit: Binge and Purge"? You wanna tell me Metallica hasn't released a fucking live album? "Live Shit" you get a whole New Mexico show on CD, from the black album tour and videos of both thier san diego show form the black album tour, and their seatlle show from the "Justice" tour. Metallica put out the most gargantuan live album out there, and you say they haven't released a live album? i'm not mad. i just can't believe you missed "Live Shit" |

| i think james s&m voice is his best live voice also liked the black album tour voice I think that on this madly in anger with the world tour his voice a bit too high (that's probably because of age or something) |

| | Hey. Just wondering, which tour throughout Metalllicas history, has James' voice sounded the best??? I really liked his voice on the black album tour. He still had a good growl on him but his clean voice were awesome too. I particularly liked his singing/clean voice around 99', like on s&m. However his heavy vocals werent as good. Ive also noticed that he now "sings" songs like battery and puppets, whereas in the past, like on the justice tour he would scream the lyrics to those heavier songs. Im not saying this is a bad thing, its just an observation ive made. Its amazing how much James' voice has changed through the years. So, which era was your favourite??? ;D ;D |

| First show was on the black album tour. 1992 - Shreveport Louisiana. I was blown away. No opening band. Just Metallica music for 2 hours. As Jason's bass solo is winding down, he is sitting on some steps to the drums and starts on the slow part of the bass line from Orion as Kirk comes walking out playing the guitar as they finish the last part of the song.
James on drums was hilarious. The one Intro was awesome.
At the end of the night my neck is so stiff and sore and what is the last song they play? Battery. geez. I couldn't turn my head for a week.
I then saw them in 1997 in Lafayette Louisiana on the Load Tour. This is where the stage took up most of the floor and they had very few floor spots.. We were in seats by the big stage about 3 rows up. We were eye level with the guys and only about 25 feet away. Corrosion of Conformity was awesome and it was great that Metallica came out with the lights up one at a time running all the way around the floor hi-fiving people before taking the stage and playing Fuel with the lights still up. Great show. |

| | With the MIAWTW tour, they whipped out everything and anything. Up until that point, they had stuck to their guns since the Black Album tour. But they really came out with some great great sets! Lets hope they stick to it. |
