I've only seen hero of the day and One. I love one though. The song is already powerful enough, but those johnny got his gun clips just made the video so powerful. I love the democracy part, where that little kid is talking with this old guy about what democracy is. That just sticks in your mind.

Dalton Trumbo, might want to look that up too. Johnny Got His Gun was a great fucking book too. The movie follows it exactly though. When I was a Junior in Highschool I had this cool fucking history teacher who was as obsessed with Metallica as much as I was. He still remembers me because I wore a Metallica t-shirt every day. So one time we had to do book reports and he had the library get the book in especially for me. It was fucking cool. Either the movie or book, you should check them out.

The thread where everyone makes a request to Metallica. About anything, playing a cover, a DVD release, etc. . .

Here's mine: Put 2 of One on DVD. If not, release a DVD with all music videos (but not the ones that only show live & studio footage. Or maybe something even better - Since Johnny Got His Gun isn't on DVD yet, release that with a special 2 of One bonus disc or as an extra. If all possible.

yep.... i'm goin to admit.... Metallica are sell-outs.

arrghh!!! they give Nothing Else Matters to a hockey tournament ad, they give St. Anger to WWE, they make soundtracks for MI2, They bought the movie Johnny Got His Gun. before AJFA they never did that.

iron maiden are still second best for me, but they are edging closer and closer to No. 1...... (except for those Paul D'ianno tracks... shudder...
bought Johnny Got His Gun?  How can you buy a movie?
